ShortstopVM
^Welp... Boy, was I wrong! I did not expect Wang to rebound like that after the second set; I thought Serena was going to steamroll her like, 6-1 in the third, or something... ShortstopVM
Madison Keys having a hard time against Maria Sakkari? In front of the Hellas Fan Club? Yeah, I'm not surprised... #HomeCourtAdvanage #SortOf EDIT: Sakkari doesn't even get this kind of reception in Queens - where the largest Greek population outside of Athens is supposed to be (Astoria)… Edited January 24, 2020 by ShortstopVM
ShortstopVM
Nick Kyrgios in doubles is like night and day. In singles, he can be a "Hurricane", but in doubles we're usually getting his good side...

ShortstopVM
What a comeback by Alex Eala and Priska Nugroho! They lost the first set, 6-1 and then [after winning the second set] trailed 7-1 in the match tiebreak. They won six consecutive points to win the match, and they will now be playing for the Junior Girls' Doubles title! #ComebackKids Edited January 30, 2020 by ShortstopVM
ShortstopVM
Hmmm... The one who eliminated Coco Gauff from this year's tourney (and Madison Brengle from the 2018 US Open) or The one who prevented Venus from winning Wimbledon that one year...

I was rooting for Kenin. 2017 still sucks in that Venus lost to Muguruza at Wimbledon and Sloane at USO SF.
ShortstopVM
Hey, Dominc Thiem! #NoNoNo I wonder which Choke Job was worse: Today, or the DelPo match at the US Open? Edited February 2, 2020 by ShortstopVM
ShortstopVM
Roland Garros right after the US Open?!?!? This is a game-changer... If the French were going to reschedule their Grand Slam, they need to move it into October - allow the players to recover from the hardcourts of Flushing Meadows (and play warm-up clay court tournaments*), and allow some of them to play their Laver Cup matches (which would overlap the French Open)…. *Just cancel the Fall hardcourt season now and move Rome and Madrid to September... EDIT: I just realized that Rome/Madrid in the late Summer could be possible, if we move the US Open deep into the Fall (think: November) - which would make sense, given our situation now (come September, we still might be trying to dig out of our own )... EDIT #2: Assuming the French Open is still the week after the US Open, Roger Federer would probably still miss RG, just because of that adjustment from hardcourt-to-clay...
