  1. I've updated the max video embed width to 480. Lets see how that goes.
  2. I'm open to creating new forums as long as the demand for it exists. Make your pitch here and we'll consider adding it in in the future.
  3. The site is now responsive for the first time ever which is great but you're right, things do get scaled back when viewed on mobile devices. This is usually how it works though since less space means things have to get cut. The most popular formatting buttons are still there on the reply box and if you know the codes, you can always type the the missing ones manually. I just made an update to the video embeds to limit them to a max width of 640 pixels. I noticed a few people mention they were too big. Let me know how you're all liking the new limit and/or if you prefer it to be even smaller.
  4. I think we'll be able to add a dark theme. I'll have to look a bit more into that but I'll make sure it makes it onto our list of things to do.
  5. The site bouncing back and forth between new and old version could be the DNS update still propagating or it might have something to do with the www/non-www website address. Idolforums was always just idolforums.com (no www.) and we're working on getting it back to that. I think this should be resolved by the end of the day.
  6. I forgot that was a thing! Of all the things we lost, why couldn't that have been one of them? 😭 The upgrade fee was almost double what we expected and we'll need to make future adjustments to help reduce hosting costs long term. Donations aren't necessary however they do definitely help. We're hoping once we get the ads back up that the site will become self sustaining.
  7. If you're reading this, that means you're now access the new upgraded Idolforums which is running the latest version of Invision and being hosted in the cloud. Thank you for your patience with us while we went through this process. Everything right now is completely stock Invision, and for the most part will stay that way to ensure we can continue to easily update the site in the future. Please continue using the site as you always have, and if you notice anything weird or out of place please bring it to my attention here or via PM. There's still work to be done, but the biggest part of this project is now out of the way so we're going to take a bit of a break before we do anything else. Enjoy!
  8. The previously discussed forum upgrade is going to take place on Monday January 6th, 2020. The process will take 24-48 hours and during this time the current version of Idolforums.com will remain up and running. Nothing after 1am ET will be saved as we need to send over a snapshot of the database to the company performing the upgrade. Feel free to post, but remember that nothing after this time will be carried over to the upgraded forum. It's possible there may be unforeseen issues during the upgrade and if there are, we'll communicate them here. We're hopeful that the entire process will go smoothly and Idolforums will be back under the upgraded software sometime on Wednesday. Special thanks to the generous donors who have chipped in to help make this possible. See you all on the new IDF!
